Excel Comes in Many Flavors
When a potential employer asks if you know Excel, you need to ask which version of Excel. There are a lot of products available that have Excel in the name, but offer a different subset of commands.
This book discusses more than 150 of these functions. But rather than just show their syntax and list them alphabetically, we have assembled them by category and provided real examples of how to use them alone, and in formulas, along with step-by-step instructions and illustrations of the results.
If this is your first experience with Excel, going to work in an office that is still using Excel 2003 is going to present some frustrations for you and the employer as you try to adjust to the older version of Excel. If the company is still using Excel 2003, it either means that they didn’t have the money to upgrade or that the people at the company are firmly entrenched with and know the old Excel very well. Be up front with your manager. Explain that you learned Excel using Excel 2010. That manager resisted upgrading to Excel 2010 because he or she didn’t want to take the time to get up the learning curve to learn the new Ribbon interface. As someone who learned on Excel 2010, it will be just as intimidating to learn where familiar commands are in the old Excel environment.

As your experience with Excel grows, you should come back to peruse the later chapters. Remember that there are usually five ways to accomplish every task in Excel. While you could successfully add subtotals to a data set using the formula skills from Chapter 5, “Using Formulas,” there is a good chance that using the Subtotal function from Chapter 9, “Subtotals and Grouping,” will allow you to accomplish the same task in a fraction of the time. Although you might not realize that you have a need for pivot tables at this moment, as you begin doing more tasks in Excel, it is likely that you will discover that Chapter 10, “Pivot Tables,” can dramatically simplify an otherwise tedious task. Setiap proyek selalu berbeda. Sesuai dengan definisi proyek itu sendiri, yaitu pekerjaan yang mempunyai sifat unik dan tidak berlangsung selamanya.
Suatu proyek selalu berbeda dengan proyek lain. Desain dan perencanaan suatu struktur gedung itu sendiri pastilah tidak akan pernah sama dan identik. Oleh karena itu pada perencanaan suatu struktur akan menemui kasus dimana bentuk struktur gedung yang hampir sama, tapi rancangan strukturnya jauh berbeda. Hal itu disebabkan oleh berbagai faktor, antara lain beban yang direncanakan, kondisi tanah yang mendukung gedung, lokasi gedung, dan lain lain.
Namun dalam segala hal, semua rancangan yang akan dibuat selalu diupayakan untuk mempertimbangkan faktor biaya dan kekuatan dengan tetap mematuhi peraturan-peraturan yang berlaku dimana lokasi gedung tersebut akan berdiri. Hal ini untuk menghindari kegagalan struktur yang akan dapat menimbulkan kerugian harta maupun jiwa, dan menghasilkan rancang struktur gedung yang kuat tetapi ekonomis dalam segi biaya.
Contoh perhitungan yang digunakan dalam buku ini adalah struktur bangunan dengan Sistem Rangka Pemikul Momen Menengah (SRPMM) dengan contoh gedung beraturan yang sederhana. Agar dapat memudahkan pembaca mengikuti dan memahami tanpa harus bersusah payah untuk membuat geometri gedung yang sangat rumit, karena disesuaikan dengan desain arsiteknya.
Dasar-dasar teori tentang mekanika teknik, mekanika bahan, sifat bahan, teori beton bertulang dan baja, serta dasar-dasar teori lain, tidak dijelaskan secara detail.

Tips Perawatan Keramik Lantai dan Dinding

[webtekniksipil] - Perawatan keramik sangat sederhana sehingga tidak perlu pengetahuan yang unik dan pilihan keramik menjadi pilihan pertama sebelum memilih bahan penutup lainnya. Untuk perawatannya harus dilakukan agar keramik tersebut tetap awet dan tetap tampil artistik. Perawatan keramik sangat sederhana sehingga tidak perlu pengetahuan yang unik dan pilihan keramik menjadi pilihan pertama sebelum memilih bahan penutup lainnya. Untuk perawatannya harus dilakukan agar keramik tersebut tetap awet dan tetap tampil artistik. Cara perawatan lantai dan dinding tetap sama, balk untuk keramik yang dipasang di luar ruangan (eksterior) maupun dalam ruangan (interior).
Perawatan Keramik Lantai dan Dinding
Adapun tahapan perawatannya sebagai berikut :
1).
Sapu terlebih dahulu bagian keramik yang akan dibersihkan.
2).
Siapkan ember berisi air sebanyak 10-15 liter, lalu campurkan dengan dua tutup botol aquaclean. Aquaclean merupakan cairan pembersih dengan daya super yang dirancang untuk memberikan perawatan maksimum pada lantai maupun dinding keramik. Cairan ini bertugas untuk mengangkat kotoran seperti lemak, lumut, noda, jamur, dan lain-lain yang menempel. Sebenarnya telah banyak dijual cairan pembersih keramik di toko-toko bahan bangunan.
3).
Pel lantai keramik atau dinding keramik dengan menggunakan aquaclean. Pengepelan keramik lantai maupun dinding di dalam ruangan cukup sehari dua kali. Untuk keramik yang dipasang di luar ruangan, pengepelan cukup dilakukan seminggu sekali. Untuk teras, pengepelan dua kali sehari.
Kasus Seputar Keramik Dan Solusinya
Jangan asal memilih atau ikut-ikutan memilih sebelum kita sendiri betul-betul tahu akan risiko-risiko yang sering terjadi pada keramik lantai atau dinding. Selain memilih, memasang keramik pun ada aturannya.
Kesalahan memilih maupun memasang keramik akan menimbulkan kasus yang sangat merugikan pemilik rumah. Ada beberapa kasus dari keberadaan keramik di rumah, balk sebagai lantai maupun dinding, sebagai berikut.
Terlepasnya Keramik dari Lapisan Dasar
Untuk kasus terlepasnya keramik dari lapisan dasar, ada dua kasus yang sering terjadi dan perlu mendapatkan perhatian, yaitu sebagai berikut.
  1. Sebaris keramik mencuat ke atas dan lepas dengan suara seperti ledakan

    Penguapan belum sempurna, tetapi lantai sudah ditutup semua dengan keramik.
    2).
    Terjadinya pergerakan struktur pondasi.
    3).
    Ruangan terlalu panas.
  3. Solusi
  4. 1).
    Beri waktu beberapa hari, jangan langsung semua bagian lantai ditutupi keramik. Pada jarak 0,5 m2, jangan ditutup dulu dengan keramik agar ada kesempatan lantai mengalami proses penguapan sempurna.
    2).
    Ikuti aturan-aturan cara pemasangan keramik yang benar.
    3).
    Ruangan harus memiliki sistem ventilasi yang baik agar ada pergerakan udara di dalamnya sehingga tidak menjadi panas.

    Perendaman keramik sebelum pemasangan hanya dilakukan beberapa saat, tidak sesuai petunjuk.

    Ikuti standar pemasangan keramik yang benar.
    2).
    Lantai kerja harus benar-benar padat dan rata, tidak ada kemungkinan munculnya rongga setelah keramik dipasang.

  2. 1).
    Pemasangan keramik tidak rata.
    2).
    Keramik terinjak pada saat pemasangan.
    3).
    Permukaan keramik sendiri memaang tidak rata.
  3. Solusi
  4. 1).
    lkuti prosedur pemasangan yang benar.
    2).
    Jangan menginjak keramik yang baru saja dipasang, biarkan beberapa lama hingga adukan di lapisan bawah ubin keramik mengeras.
    3).
    Pilih keramik yang permukaannya memang benar-benar rata.
Keramik Pecah Setelah Terpasang

    Kejatuhan benda tajam atau berat.
    2).
    Sudah dalam kondisi retak sebelum dipasang.
  3. Solusi
  4. 1).
    Ikuti prosedur pemasangan yang benar.
    2).
    Hindari dari terjatuhnya benda-benda yang tajam dan berat.
    3).
    Pilih keramik yang utuh, tidak retak sebelum dipasang.
    4).
    Segera ganti keramik yang pecah dengan keramik baru (umumnya masih ada sisa keramik yang sengaja dipersiapkan pada saat pemasangan).
